Behaviour Policy
Mr C’s Tutoring Hub
At Mr C’s Tutoring Hub, we aim to create a positive, supportive, and focused learning environment where all children feel comfortable, confident, and able to learn.
This Behaviour Policy sets out clear expectations to ensure online group sessions run smoothly and fairly for everyone.
1. Expectations for Students
All students are expected to:
-
arrive on time and ready to learn
-
listen respectfully to the tutor and other students
-
follow instructions during sessions
-
take part positively and make a genuine effort
Online group tutoring works best when everyone feels safe, respected, and able to concentrate.
2. Online Learning Environment
Parents and carers are asked to support by ensuring:
-
the session is joined from a quiet, suitable space
-
distractions are kept to a minimum
-
appropriate supervision is available nearby if needed
This helps children get the most from each session and supports the wider group.
3. Respectful Behaviour
The following behaviours are not acceptable:
-
repeated interruptions or refusal to follow instructions
-
inappropriate language or gestures
-
deliberately distracting others
-
misuse of chat, microphone, or camera features
All students are expected to treat the tutor and other children with respect at all times.
4. Managing Behaviour During Sessions
If behaviour becomes disruptive:
-
The tutor will give a clear reminder and guidance
-
If behaviour continues, the student may be muted or asked to pause participation
-
Persistent disruption may result in the student being removed from the session
Any removal from a session due to behaviour will not be refunded.
5. Ongoing Behaviour Concerns
If behaviour issues persist across sessions:
-
parents or carers will be contacted to discuss concerns
-
reasonable steps will be taken to support improvement
In rare cases, where behaviour continues to significantly disrupt learning, Mr C’s Tutoring Hub reserves the right to withdraw a child’s place in the group. This decision would always be communicated clearly and fairly.
6. Supporting Positive Behaviour
We strongly believe in:
-
encouragement and positive reinforcement
-
building confidence rather than punishment
-
clear boundaries delivered calmly and consistently
Our aim is always to help children feel successful, included, and motivated.
