Cancellation Policy
Mr C’s Tutoring Hub
This Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, absences, and changes to group sessions are handled. It is designed to keep tutoring fair, consistent, and predictable for all families.
1. Programme Commitment
Tutoring at Mr C’s Tutoring Hub is offered as a full academic-year programme, with payments spread evenly across 12 months for convenience. Monthly payments are not linked to attendance in a specific month or to individual sessions.
2. Pausing Subscriptions
Subscriptions cannot be paused for holidays, illness, or temporary absences.
This approach ensures group stability and allows sessions and holiday support to be planned reliably for all families.
3. Missed Sessions
If a student is unable to attend a scheduled session:
-
the session will not be refunded
-
the session cannot be rescheduled or carried over
This applies to both term-time and holiday sessions.
4. Cancellation During the Academic Year
If you need to cancel during the academic year:
-
one full calendar month’s notice is required
-
notice cannot be backdated
Monthly payments will continue during the notice period. This allows groups to remain stable and ensures fair planning.
5. End of Academic Year & Continuation
Tutoring places do not automatically roll over into the next academic year.
Towards the end of the academic year, families will be contacted and invited to confirm whether they would like to continue for the following year.
If confirmation is not received by the stated deadline, the child’s place will conclude automatically at the end of the academic programme, with no further obligation.
6. Minimum Group Size
Group tutoring sessions require a minimum of two enrolled students to run.
If a group does not meet the minimum size, Mr C’s Tutoring Hub reserves the right to:
-
delay the start of the group
-
reschedule sessions
-
offer an alternative arrangement where possible
Families will be informed if this situation arises.
7. Sessions Cancelled by Mr C’s Tutoring Hub
In the rare event that a session must be cancelled by Mr C’s Tutoring Hub:
-
an alternative session may be offered, or
-
the session may be credited or refunded at our discretion
8. Exceptional Circumstances
In exceptional circumstances (for example, serious illness or unforeseen events), cancellations may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Any decisions made in these situations are at the discretion of Mr C’s Tutoring Hub.
